My dad was in his element doing the metalwork on the baffles, while I did the filtered air box and the rubber baffling. He made some changes to the baffles to facilitate removal and added little pieces of aluminum tubing as a support where the lower pins pull the baffles together.
The engine part is going well, but we are moving slowly, as we have to wait for parts often. I guess if I were ever to build a second plane, I would be much faster, because I would know what little things and pieces I additionally need for the installation, which are not documented anywhere. Engine installations differ greatly between builds and you cannot assume that any of the stock parts fit your installation.
The workshop is getting very messy again, which is an indicator, that we are nearing the completion of a section :-)
Everytime we complete a section, we tidy the shop to make room for the new parts and work. But first, the exhaust!
